Studio Policies
TUITION POLICIES
Families are required to enroll in autopay and tuition will be processed on the 23rd of the months July - May until a drop form is submitted. There are 11 payments total. Drop forms must be submitted in person to the front desk by the 15th of the previous month to avoid future charges. NO EXCEPTIONS. A late fee of $30 is automatically charged to overdue accounts after a 7-day grace period or the 1st of the month, whichever comes first. Dancers will not be able to take class until the payment is received. There is a $35 charge on returned checks. Tuition is an annual fee broken into equal monthly payments from July through May. The amount of tuition does not change based on how many classes are in a given month. Tuition does not adjust for studio closures due to planned holidays or acts of nature/God like a fire, flood or disease pandemic. Dancers will not be allowed to participate in competition or recital if an outstanding balance exists on their account. We use email to send statements. A non-refundable registration fee of $40/student or $55 per family is due at registration. Families MUST have a credit card on file and agree to autopay. If you would like to pay by another method, you must do so before autopay runs on the 23rd of each month.
MISSED CLASSES
Registered students are expected to attend their own classes on a weekly basis. There are no refunds or credits for missing class for any reason. We do not offer make-up classes.
DROPPING CLASSES
In order to drop a class and stop future billing for that class, you must submit a drop form in writing with 2 weeks notice or you will be automatically billed for the following month.
STUDIO ETIQUETTE
Absolutely NO food or drinks allowed in the studio with the exception of water. No dance shoes may be worn outside the studio. Students are not allowed to enter the studios without a teacher present. Younger siblings waiting inside the studio must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. They must be on their best behavior for the duration of their stay and should not disrupt dance classes, dancers preparing for class, staff members, or parents in the lobby. We expect siblings to be respectful while waiting.
CLASS OBSERVATION
All of our classes are drop-off. We do make an exception for preschool children who cannot use the restroom independently. We believe students learn much more effectively without the distraction of their parents and siblings at the viewing window. There will be no parents, siblings or caregivers allowed to wait in the studio lobby during classes. If you would like to schedule an observation of your child’s class please contact the desk at 818-532-7700.
VIRTUAL CLASSES DISCLAIMER
In the event of a mandatory closure due to a pandemic, act of nature or other unpredictable and/or catastrophic situation, classes will immediately switch to virtual via the Zoom app. There will be no refunds or make-up classes offered during a pandemic, act of nature or other unpredictable and/or catastrophic situation. Families are expected to transition to the Zoom app until the crisis resolves or they drop their class according to studio policy.
MEDIA RELEASE
Protégé Performing Arts may use the photos and/or videos of past or current students for publicity and advertising purposes. There are absolutely NO refunds. Any credits given as a courtesy may be applied to future classes and lessons. Classes and teachers are subject to change at any time. Protégé Performing Arts is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please leave valuable items at home. Students are not permitted to wait outside alone. Parents must pick up their children.
