LORETTA RICHERT • Loretta is a teacher, dancer, and artist. She began her studies at Dance Unlimited in Simi Valley where she competed in their award-winning jazz and hip-hop companies. Loretta then earned her degree in Dance and Photography from Loyola Marymount University in 2011. Shortly after graduating, she became fully certified in Bikram Yoga. Over the past seven years, Loretta has enjoyed working as a choreographer for dance studios, show choirs, and high schools as well as choreographing "first dances" for weddings. You can currently find her choreographing at Thousand Oaks High School. This is Loretta's 8th season at Protégé Performing Arts.

1. Promoting Healthy Hygiene Practices
- Staff, dancers, and families should stay home if feeling sick and should only return when their symptoms have subsided. Anyone who has been in close contact with a person with COVID-19 should stay home.
- The studio will be equipped with soap, tissues, and hand sanitizer.
- Staff and dancers will wash hands after dance class, before/after lunch, after coughing or sneezing, and before/after using the restroom. Our staff will teach and reinforce dancers to avoid contact with their eyes, nose, and mouth, as well as covering coughs and sneezes.
- When washing hands, dancers and staff should wash for 20 seconds with soap and water.
- Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the studio for frequent use between classes.
2. Intensified Cleaning, Disinfection, and Ventilation
- Staff will clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces throughout the day.
- Frequently touched surfaces include but are not limited to: door handles, light switches, sink handles, bathroom surfaces, tables, and ballet barres
- For the time being, the use of shared prop items and equipment will be limited. If used, they will be disinfected between uses.
- Restrooms will be disinfected multiple time throughout the day.
- Hand washing signage will be posted in each restroom.
3. Implementing Distance - Arrival and Departure
- Upon drop-off and pickup, students and families will wait outside while practicing social distancing.
- Dancers will remain in the same groups. No make-up classes at this time to avoid mixing groups.
4. Limit Sharing
- All personal belongings will remain separate. Please have your child's items labeled with their name.
- Staff will remind children to avoid sharing items with classmates.
5. Training Staff and Families
- Protégé staff will be trained on all procedures including:
- Cleaning/Disinfecting protocols, Sanitation practices and self-screening at home—including temperature and symptom checks.
- Protégé will emphasize the importance of not coming to work if an employee has a frequent cough, fever, chills, difficulty breathing, or sore throat.
- All staff will continue to maintain communication regarding any changes or new training measures needing to be taken.
6. Checking for Signs and Symptoms
- Protégé staff will conduct visual wellness checks upon your arrival to the studio.
- Any person showing symptoms of COVID-19 will be asked to return home.
7. Facial Coverings
- Masks are currently optional.
